Blog post 3:some real stuff

I have met some petty bad drug addicts and alcoholics in my life. Yet I have never experienced what one of the characters in my book experienced this week. This week I read about how the new woman Minny was working for was drinking enough to poison 2 maybe 3 people. And Minny gave her old boss a pie made of Minny’s poop. The whole thing was crazy starting with a vast amount of important events from Minny’s life.

Minny giving Mrs. Hilly a poop pie was kind of fair in my eyes. While reading this experience made me feel disgusted just because I couldn’t even imagine but she kinda deserved it to be honest. The things that went well was Minny getting her little revenge for how she got treated for so long. Some things that went bad was Mrs. Hilly got angry and called all the other white women to make sure Minny didn’t get a good job. But fortunately Minny did find a good new job and she liked it kind of. Her new boss Mrs. Celia was a kind women. This matters because Minny needed some job to support her 5 kids.

Mrs. Celia was drinking a lot, or so Minny thought. Minny did not have the courage to confront Mrs. Celia because of how kind Mrs. Celia was to her. This experience made me feel sad because at first I did not know why Celia was trying to drink her baby to death. Some things that went good were the simple facts of it was tonic that Celia was drinking to try not to have miscarrages and she’s not an alcoholic after all! However the bad part was Minny really thought she was an alcoholic. This was hard because Minny felt bad for accusing her of something so harsh afterwards. This matters because Mrs. Celia really does want to have a baby with Johnny.

In conclusion, again this week my book still related to the thematic statement of no matter how much you do for a person and how good you are to them cannot force them to be good to you and do nice things back. I love how the author is integrating more point of view’s into the book. I am extremely happy with the way this book continues to astound me.
